Evening Event
Monday, September 29 I 19:30-22:00
Imperial Stable I MUMOK
In collaboration with the MUMOK the evening gathering is planned to differ from typical conference-diner events and bring an artistic perspective to the Future Internet. In particular the event will feature futuristic light-installations and appropriate music.
Of course we all know that the current Internet can be viewed as a very rich, democratic, global, interactive medium, and as such, our view is that an artistic perspective of the Future Internet will be of benefit, and possibly inspirational, to the Future Internet scientific community.
MUMOK, with its specific modern approach to art, is the perfect stage to showcase an artistic contribution to the Future Internet.
The event will include DJ appearance and performances by young artists. Also, the event is designed to address a wide range of futuristic art-interested folks and will be open to the public from 21:00.

monochrom presents THE FUTURE OF EMERGENCE
With Gennadyi Moloshnikov and the Soviet Unterzögersdorf Jazz Dance Combinat
Soviet Unterzögersdorf's hypertext expert and wine tavern commissioner Gennadyi Moloshnikov will host a diplomatic special interest gala of the Soviet Unterzögersdorf Ministry of Foreign Difficulties. Comrade Moloshnikov understands the immense transformative power of technology and innovation (e.g. "modems") and how they can improve the lives of all citizens.
monochrom
monochrom is a worldwide operating collective dealing with technology, art, context hacking and philosophy and was founded 1993 in Stockerau, Lower Austria. So to sum up, monochrom is an unpeculiar mixture of proto-aesthetic fringe work, pop attitude, subcultural science and political activism. Their mission is conducted everywhere, but first and foremost in culture-archeological digs into the seats (and pockets) of ideology and etertainment.
monochrom released a leftist retro-gaming project, established a 1 baud semaphore line through the streets of San Francisco, started an illegalspace race through Los Angeles, buried people alive in Vancouver, and cracked the hierarchies of the art system with The Thomann Project.
In Austria they ate blood sausages made from their own blood in order to criticize the grotesque neoliberal formation of the world economy. Sometimes they compose melancholic pop songs about dying media and host the first annual and inevitably leading festival concerned with cocktail robotics. At the moment they're planning a conference about pornography as one of the the driving forces of technological innovation. Also they do international soul trade, propaganda camps, epic puppet theatre, aesthetic pregnancy counselling, food catering and -- sorry to mention -- modern dance.
The group's members are: Günther Friesinger, Johannes Grenzfurthner, Evelyn Fürlinger, Harald List, Anika Kronberger, Franz Ablinger, Frank Apunkt Schneider, Daniel Fabry and Roland Gratzer
